St.A.i.R. (Styria-Artist in Residence): Tjaša Pogačar

Tjaša Pogačar is an independent curator of contemporary art and co-founder and editor-in-chief of Šum, a journal and platform for art and theory-fiction.

She is a curator of ISKRA DELTA - 34th Ljubljana Biennial of Graphic Arts (2021) and ZONE1, a section for emerging artists from Austria at the viennacontemporary art fair (2022). She curated two editions of IFCA - International Festival of Computer Arts in Maribor (2019/2020), and has collaborated with Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova Ljubljana, Škuc Gallery and Aksioma Project Space, among others, curating solo and group shows focusing especially on the younger generation of artists from the region.

Since 2020 she also works at Projekt Atol Institute as a curator-producer for new media art and runs an offsite/online curatorial project Plaza Protocol. Occasionally she writes about contemporary art. She published in L’Internationale, e-flux Art&Education, Photograph magazine, Tipping Point. and exhibition catalogues by Moderna galerija and Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova Ljubljana, Garage Museum and others. In 2020 she was a Tranzit/Erste resident at MuseumsQuartier Vienna and a curator in residence at Futura gallery in Prague. She is based in Ljubljana.

St.A.i.R. (Styria-Artist in Residence): Tjaša Pogačar

St.A.i.R. - Styria-Artist in Residence is the further development of the internationally successful studio program "RONDO-Artist-in-Residence".

18 artists from numerous countries in Europe, Asia and America are being given scholarships to live and work in Styria for one to five months during the current year.

The artists are supported and networked with the local scene by various cultural institutions in Graz, such as FORUM STADTPARK.

During the month of February and March Forum Stadtpark will host the Slovenian curator Tjaša Pogačar.
