Sebastian Freudenschuss

Sebastian Freudenschuss works as an illustrator and animator at bounty.studio in Vienna.
In his work, he draws inspiration from the everyday, combining the occult with science fiction and fantasy with reality. Likeable characters animate the worlds he builds, going about their everyday lives, or trying to improve systems.

Two agents from the "Int. Agency for Expropriation" are the main characters in Sebastian Freudenschuss' series of illustrations for FORUM STADTPARK. They live in a fantastic world that has been severely fragmented by a devastating environmental catastrophe. All that remains is a floating pile of rocky islands. Vital resources have already been appropriated and fenced off centuries ago, including water, access to arable land, and the wildlife unfortunate enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The series will evolve over the course of the year. Resources will be redistributed, owners will be called to account, and the ruined world will be communalised.

After all, redistribution today is better than redistribution tomorrow – whether it is realised out of a sense of justice, or due to the simple fact that the few who own everything will inevitably end up using, consuming, and ruining our world.
