Šum - a journal and platform for contemporary art and theory-fiction was established in 2013 in Ljubljana by a group of artists and theorists. Three members of Šum's current team will talk about the motivations behind this project, the specific focus it developed in the last couple of years and the ways it operates within the contemporary art field. Last but not least, they will present the newest issue of Šum titled Models of Extinction. Free copies of the publication will be available at the event.
Tjaša Pogačar is Šum's editor-in-chief and an independent curator of contemporary art. She works with Projekt Atol Institute since 2020, has curated 34th Ljubljana Biennale of Graphic Arts, Zone1 at viennacontemporary in 2022 and is collaborating as a curator with Kunsthalle Bratislava this year.
Tjaša is currently an Artist in Residence at st. A.i.R (Styria-Artist-in-Residence) funded by the Kutur Stadt Steiermark.
