Barbara Porod is chief curator at the Archaeological Museum Schloss Eggenberg in Graz, where she is in charge of the Provincial Roman Collection and the Cabinet of Antiquities, among other things. She researches and publishes, among other things, on myth-making and works of art in Roman and Greek antiquity.
In Elke Auers exhibition LEAKING VESSELS the artist deals with female voices, their silencing or pathologization and works with references from ancient mythologies.
She also finds inspiration in Neolithic social structures. A joint conversation will address gender roles in archaeological discourse and narratives of the exhibition.
