We’re starting into the next party season with two local dj veterans straight outta Gradec: TOUPAZ, formerly known as Awo Ojiji, from disko404 and OLGICA, part of Interlude and mother of Iskra, are joining us on the decks for this one.
Get ready for a genre-fluid mix of broken beats, heavy basslines and experimental rhythms.

TOUPAZ (disko404 / eclipse tribez / grid recordings)
Polyrhythmic finks, broken beats and atmospheric textures - based out of Graz, Austria, Toupaz has been quietly carving out his own lane in the leftfield techno & bass music world. Distinct, detailed and fundamentally genre-fluid, his oddball productions cross a range of stylistic influences and tempos, purpose built for the explorative DJ. If you’ve kept your ear to the ground these past few years you might have come across his outstanding transmissions as Awo Ojiji. The magic in his sound lies in the way he manipulates drums, using non-standard palettes of percussion and making them move in mind-bending ways. The wild rhythmic shenanigans are matched by a virtuoso approach to synthesis and sound design which ducks, dives and darts around the many-limbed beats. It’s not a simple case of shock and awe though — Toupaz understands how to maintain subtlety and intrigue even in the most complex, fizzing peaks of his tracks. OLGICA (interlude / iskra)
Olgica is a Serbia-born DJ based in Graz. Best known for her expertise in left-field bass, dub and dizzying halftime tunes, she has become an integral part of the Austrian club scene. Before Olgica became active as a DJ, she dedicated many years to contemporary dance. It is possibly this experience that she passes on to the dancers through her fluid set structures and the unique energy of her selections. In addition to DJing, she curates and hosts events as part of the Elevate Festival, Interlude Collective and Forum Stadtpark.
