Half Darling operates several levers of pop history: punk, noise, hip-hop, love songs, and Steve Reich! The result is a unique, partly irritating yet consistently feminist aesthetic. In energetic songs, the band focuses on minimalist structures, rhythmic shifts, and repetition.
