A Collaboration That Never Dies is a performative staged reading in an immersive audio-visual installation. On the fragmented ruins of what should have been a theatre performance, the performers are leading the audience through a display of its de-/re-constructed individual elements in five scenes.
The performance is a continuation of Potential States (2020) and The Replaced (2022) – shows about theatre, resistance and failed collaborations. A Collaboration That Never Dies follows three female performers as they replace the original cast of a politically charged performance, leading them to confront questions of artistic collaboration, (ascribed) identity, and the legacy of past political systems.
Using the materials of the show as a metaphor for how we deal with both history and the future, Forum Stadtpark's Salon is transformed into an installation, which is open to the public as an exhibition before and after the show.
