What does it mean to own an idea? And what does it mean to own an object? Two fundamental states of design work – the idea and the object – are considered from the perspective of ownership. The events focus on the protection of colours, shapes, and words, on practices of collecting and giving away, copying and sharing, borrowing and stealing.

No small wonder: attaching feelings and memories to inanimate objects is an age-old cultural practice. But is it necessary to own things in order to enjoy them? How does owning an object change our relationship with it?
