Space & Time: the Dynamics of Extractivism

Int. Agency for Expropriation

The Democratic Republic of the Congo is facing exploitative structures that have permeated society from the colonial period to today. These forms of extractivism have multiplied, affecting not only natural resources but also cultural identity and collective psychology. The exhibition focuses on the construction of the notions of "time" and "space," shaped by those in power. Various artists were invited to engage with this theme and to highlight the impact of extractivism on Congolese identity from different perspectives.
