The GIK - Grazer Impro Klub sees itself as a platform for the preservation, consolidation and cultivation of the musical practice of improvisation and genre-free musical experimentation. Spontaneously curated and moderated by Patrick Wurzwallner and populated with top-class guests, the GIK manifests a benevolent and, as far as possible, inclusive space for enabling a collective risk practice. Alfred Lang

born 1968, studied classical music and jazz (trumpet) in Graz, in-depth involvement with new music, free improvisation, composition, Balkan music, rock'n'roll, drum'n'bass.

Married to the ceramist Karin, three children, two grandchildren. Earns his living as an IT expert.
Leads the big band Kulmination, plays with Full Supa Band, Kaja Draxler(SLO), Elisabeth Harnik, Armin Pokorn, Dieter Glawischnig, Styrian- and Vienna Improvisers Orchestra, Berndt Luef, Sandy Lopičić, Big Band Weiz, etc.
